INTRODUCTION

The IRQUAS plans for the last six months or so (or at least the ones that actually made it on time) are detailed below.

WHAT'S HAPPENED IN SUMMER 2001

• The IRQUAS Project reached its first birthday, and the end of Phase 1, (June)
  
  
• 'Early Medieval Ireland' group membership reached 250 at last (June)
  
  
• 'Irish Archaeology' became the second IRQUAS group to reach 200 members (July)
  
  
• 'Iron Age Ireland' reached 150 members (July)
  
  
• First birthdays for the Early Medieval, Archaeology and Iron Age groups (June and July)
  
  
• IRQUAS Phase 2 began, with the creation of the initial version of the community website (July)
  
  
• The 'Irish Agriculture' discussion group goes live (July)
  
  
• The 'Irish Economic History' discussion group goes live (July)
  
  
• The 'Irish Geography' discussion group goes live (July)
  
  
• The 'Irish Settlement Studies' group membership topped the 100 mark (August)
  
  
• The 'Irish Geology' discussion group goes live (August)
  
  
• The 'Irish Social History' discussion group goes live (August)

WHAT'S HAPPENED IN AUTUMN 2001

• The 'Early Modern Ireland' group reached 100 members (September)
  
  
• The current version of the IRQUAS website began development (September)
  
  
• Combined IRQUAS discussion group memberships reached the 1,500 mark (September)
  
  
• The IRQUAS 'Online Databases' service was launched (September)
  
  
• The IRQUAS 'Online Documents' service was launched (October)
